About the role
The University of Nevada, Reno, School of Public Health is seeking an organized, flexible, and independent Project Coordinator. This position supports the Principal Investigator and research group members to meet current study goals and expand the research group's capacity to conduct extramurally-funded research on substance use.
Responsibilities
- Leading a team to complete study interviews, monthly contact updates with participants, and street-based outreach efforts and to locate study participants, according to established study protocols;
- Conducting quality assurance reviews of study data including qualitative interviews and quantitative surveys;
- Coinciding with the PI, Field Site Director, and other research staff to ensure field site and outreach operations are working efficiently across all projects;
- Creating and maintaining standard operating procedure manuals for research projects and ensuring compliance;
- Managing ongoing meetings of the Community Advisory Board;
- Ensuring required grant and other regulatory documentation is completed accurately and submitted to funders and other responsible parties according to stated deadlines;
- As needed, conducting qualitative and quantitative data collection and/or analysis, either independently or in collaboration with other research team members, to support dissemination of research findings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and (2) two years of related experience or a Master's Degree and (1) one year of related work experience.
- Related experience: evaluation and/or research in public health and/or social sciences, project coordination and planning, data collection or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates who speak Spanish/English.

Payscale
Compensation Grade Administrative Faculty - B. Salary is competitive and commensurate with related education and experience.
Schedule
Occasional nights and weekends.
