We bring together mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineering experts to solve complex design challenges with precision, creativity, and collaboration. This role is an opportunity to join one of the largest, fastest-growing, and most comprehensive Mission Critical practices in the industry, assisting with managing the behind-the-scenes efforts of delivering successful projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist project managers in coordinating and managing design teams and projects from start to finish, working closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other team members.
- Organize and document projects through all phases, including proposal/fee development, reports, construction documents, and construction administration.
- Manage multi-disciplinary design teams from project conception to completion, ensuring organizational follow-through.
- Mentor, organize, and facilitate the growth of staff, coordinating workload to complete documents on schedule.
- Support mission critical staff recruiting and retention efforts.
- Ensure product deliverables meet quality standards and support team members in completing documents, including formatting, word processing, editing, and organizing project documents, reports, and correspondence.
- Create, develop, and edit PDF files, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, charts, and PowerPoint presentations based on input from project team members.
- Apply company quality assurance guidelines and procedures for project document management.
- Assist with preparing project progress reports for monthly invoicing.
- Set up project meetings and prepare detailed minutes.
- Provide administrative support during project execution, including meeting coordination, maintaining accurate files, document control, and assisting with project status updates, reports, invoices, and deliverable development.
- Perform technical editing of deliverables, including proofreading for format, clarity, consistency, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Establish a document filing, distribution, retrieval, and management system for critical project records, including tracking and status reporting of items requiring iterative review.
- Some travel to job sites or other HDR offices may be required, with advance communication provided.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- Associate degree in a closely related field or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- A minimum of 1 year of related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture.
Preferred
- Previous experience at an Architecture/Engineering firm.
- Local candidates preferred.
- Strong desire to stay current with trends in the fast-paced mission critical industry.
- Technical writing skills.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam and Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.

Pay
Colorado: $25.69 - $36.70 per hour, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
Schedule
Full-time, regular employee status.
