About The Role

The Project Coordinator (Design & Technical Support) plays a critical role in supporting our design-build projects by combining project coordination, space planning, and 3D/technical documentation. This position works closely with the Design Consultant to translate design intent into accurate layouts, drawings, and project documentation — while keeping timelines, communication, and details aligned. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical design tools and organized project execution, and who thrives on precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Space Planning & 3D / Technical Support
    • Create and modify space plans, layouts, and construction-ready drawings
    • Develop and update 3D models and renderings using tools such as Chief Architect, Bluebeam, and other design/documentation software
    • Translate design concepts into accurate plans for client review, internal coordination, and installation
    • Assist with revisions based on client feedback, field conditions, or scope changes
    • Maintain drawing accuracy throughout the life of the project
  • Project Coordination & Documentation
    • Coordinate project schedules, milestones, and internal deadlines
    • Maintain complete project files including drawings, selections, specifications, and approvals
    • Track change orders, revisions, and client sign-offs
    • Ensure project documentation is current, consistent, and clearly communicated
  • Client & Team Support
    • Support client meetings with updated plans, visuals, and documentation
    • Communicate next steps and timeline impacts related to design or scope changes
    • Serve as a point of continuity between design, project management, and installation teams
  • Vendor & Trade Coordination
    • Prepare and share drawings and specifications with vendors and installers as needed
    • Assist with product coordination, lead times, and technical clarifications
    • Help ensure field teams have accurate, up-to-date plans and information
  • Systems, Accuracy & Process
    • Maintain accurate records across project management and CRM systems
    • Catch discrepancies early and resolve them before they impact schedule or cost
    • Assist in refining internal documentation standards and workflows
    • Support quality control across drawings, specifications, and project files

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with space planning and 3D design software
  • Proficiency or working knowledge of Chief Architect, Bluebeam, or similar tools
  • Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
  • Ability to interpret design intent, field conditions, and construction constraints
  • Excellent organization and communication skills

Preferred Experience

  • Background in interior design, architectural drafting, construction technology, or related field
  • Experience supporting remodeling, design-build, or construction projects
  • Familiarity with residential building standards and installation requirements
  • Ability to read and produce construction drawings

Growth Path

As Floorology continues to grow into larger-scale remodels and new construction projects, this role may evolve into Senior Project Coordinator, Design Technologist, Technical Design Manager, or Operations-focused roles.
