Project Controls Specialist II

About the role

We are seeking a Project Controls Specialist II to join our dynamic team at HDR. This role plays a crucial part in shaping the systems that move people and goods safely, efficiently, and sustainably.

Responsibilities

• Establish WBS, and develop and maintain complex project schedules for various phases of the project
• Cook up with necessary team members
• Develop and monitor project metrics
• Participate in project coordination meetings
• Conduct project site visits if applicable
• Conduct schedule baseline and schedule update reviews
• Develop cost estimates
• Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction or Engineering
• Preferred qualifications: Certifications (one or more): PSP, PMP, PE, CM, EVP, PMI-SP, CST
• Prior experience with A/E/C firm

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in project controls work on engineering and construction projects, including planning, estimating, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, schedule control and project reports
• Strong decision-making skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple long and short-term tasks simultaneously
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture

• Ability to interpret construction schedules

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
