This role supports the planning, execution, and successful delivery of engineering, construction, and capital improvement projects by providing project scheduling, controls, performance reporting, and project governance support throughout the project lifecycle. Note: available at multiple levels; final placement will be determined based on experience and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and status updates of integrated project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Develop and maintain both summary and detailed project schedules for large-scale engineering, construction, and capital improvement projects
  • Review project requirements and contract documents to ensure scheduling deliverables are accurately incorporated into project plans
  • Perform baseline schedule reviews, schedule updates, and schedule quality assessments to ensure compliance with project objectives and established standards
  • Review and analyze contractor schedules, including cost- and resource-loaded schedules, to evaluate progress, schedule integrity, and project performance
  • Monitor project progress against approved baseline schedules by identifying critical path activities, schedule variances, delays, and potential impacts to project delivery
  • Perform critical path analyses, schedule risk assessments, what-if analyses, time impact evaluations, and recovery plan reviews to support project decision-making
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc schedule performance reports, dashboards, narratives, and executive summaries for project teams and stakeholders
  • Analyze schedule and performance trends to identify project risks, recommend corrective actions, and support mitigation strategies
  • Maintain project resource assignments, engineering coding structures, calendars, and other scheduling data to support accurate project reporting
  • Develop and maintain project controls documentation, scheduling procedures, execution plans, standards, guidelines, and best practices
  • Evaluate existing scheduling processes and recommend continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project controls effectiveness
  • Support the administration, implementation, maintenance, and user training of Primavera P6 scheduling software and related reporting tools
  • Ensure compliance with scheduling methodologies, project controls standards, and applicable delivery methods, including design-build projects
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, construction managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather schedule data, validate project progress, and support project delivery
  • Attend project meetings, planning sessions, and site visits to verify schedule status, project milestones, and construction progress
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior-level scheduling and project controls staff
  • Support project governance activities by providing accurate scheduling data, performance metrics, and project controls reporting
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in construction management and scheduling, preferably within the construction or engineering industries
  • Advanced proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6; Microsoft Project a plus
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, both written and oral
  • Experience reviewing, analyzing, and updating schedules, particularly with baseline schedules

Pay

The salary range for this position is $112,649 - $154,927. A hired employee will be placed within this salary range based on scope of relevant experience and other legitimate business reasons.
