About the role
The Project Controls Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of Project Controls, including Estimating, Cost Management, Planning and Scheduling, EPCM Control, Project Accounting, Trend and Change Management, Progress Measurement and Evaluation, and Project Reporting. The Project Controls Manager ensures Hatch procedures and best practices are applied to the project, as appropriate, and recommends changes where required.
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor the Project Controls team to ensure that staff understands what is expected of them and has the necessary skills to execute the requirements.
- Identify training and development requirements for staff and ensure skills development takes place.
- Manage the Project Control resources allocated to the project by leading and directing subordinates so that they are motivated and have access to the required resources to meet the work objectives set for them.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a project environment with detailed knowledge of Estimating, Cost Control, Planning, and Quantity Surveying.
- Experience in high valued, multi-discipline EPCM environment projects from inception to close out.
- Knowledge in the following disciplines: Estimating, Cost Control, Planning & Scheduling, Quantity Surveying.
- Preferred post-graduate qualifications in Management or other professional certification.
- Experience in the establishment of reporting standards, formats, and frequency.
- Knowledge of EPCM principals, and the ability to interpret and verify Incentive agreements.
- General Construction knowledge together with the understanding on the fundamentals of engineering models and construction drawings.
- Possesses strong personal computer skills (MS Office package).
- Ability to work under pressure and a key factor is that the incumbent is deliverables-driven.
- Interpersonal skills, especially the ability to deal with people, staff, and stakeholders at different levels of seniority.
- Broad business acumen including risk assessment and management.
Qualifications
