Responsibilities
- Lead project controls activities across both design-phase and construction-phase projects, including cost control, scheduling, forecasting, and performance reporting
- Develop, manage, and maintain project budgets, cost-loaded schedules, and cash flow forecasts from early design through construction
- Support design-phase cost modeling, schedule development, and scope validation in partnership with engineering and estimating teams
- Oversee change management across design development and construction execution, including trend logs, change estimates, and impact analysis
- Provide regular project performance and forecast reporting to Project Directors, leadership, and clients
- Identify cost, schedule, and execution risks and mitigation strategies across design development and field execution
- Ensure alignment with CRB project controls standards, tools, and reporting templates
- Support baseline development, earned value analysis, progress measurement, and productivity tracking
- Collaborate with estimating, procurement, contracting, engineering, and construction teams throughout the full project lifecycle
- Mentor and support project controls staff, cost engineers, and analysts as needed
- Participate in internal and client-facing meetings representing CRB’s project controls expertise
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project controls, cost management, or project management within a construction, EPC, or design-build environment
- Demonstrated experience supporting GMP-regulated or highly technical Life Science design and/or construction
- Strong understanding of cost control, scheduling (Primavera P6 or similar), forecasting, and earned value management
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and project controls software/tools
- Strong financial acumen and ability to translate project data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across engineering, construction, and leadership teams
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, technically complex project environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Background working in an engineer-led organization
- Prior experience mentoring or leading a project controls or cost management team
