Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Performs cost estimating, analysis, and control activities.
  • Performs schedule development, maintenance, and monitoring activities.
  • Supports project organizational and administrative activities, when delegated.
  • Supervises and provides technical direction for cost engineering and/or planning/scheduling activities, when delegated.
  • Ensures work is completed as scheduled.
  • Identifies trends for management attention.
  • Frequently contributes to the development of new theories and methods.
  • Uses professional concepts and Laboratory objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

Skills, Experience And Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • P6 and Deltek Cobra Experience.
  • Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis, and cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, and cost analysis, in the field and home office.
  • Knowledge of supervision, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
  • Proficiency in using personal computer operating systems and several basic software applications.
  • Cobra administration experience backend software capabilities.
  • Proficiency in using multiple discipline-specific software applications currently used.
  • Advanced knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) tools and processes.

Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum eight years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Position Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications & Location Details

  • Los Alamos National Lab – Los Alamos, NM.
  • Hybrid Role – 2 weeks onsite.
  • Cobra administration experience backend software capabilities.
  • Work with cobra on the red network, onsite 2 weeks/month.
  • Number of openings – 3.
  • TA-55.
