Summary

The Project Controls Engineer III gathers and analyzes project information to produce reports that track time, quantity and costs on a specific project. Reviews this information with the project team to improve profitability on the job.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Uses the JMP process to gather cost information including but not limited to: Project schedule, Time and quantities, Updated daily logs
  • Analyzes cost information (above) and then recommends to the project team adjustments to daily cost targets and goals
  • Supports project team with recommendations on overall cost savings through procurements, scheduling of deliveries, resource management, manpower loading, equipment scheduling, etc.
  • Collaborates with project team in generating pending change orders, budget revisions, procurements, financial reports, billings, cash management reports, time, and invoice approvals
  • Generates weekly cost reports and drafts the monthly financial report
  • Makes preparations and processes sub-contract changes, billing, etc. to be approved by the Controls or Project Manager
  • Oversees inventory management, supplier billing oversight, stored materials billings, etc.
  • Maintains all logs including by not limited to concrete and rebar logs
  • Champions Incident and Injury Free (IIF) environment for project
  • Sets example by following safety guidelines including but not limited to wearing PPE on jobs, staying aware of surroundings, etc.
  • Complies with proper safety procedures
  • Participates in Training/Certification Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and 2 years’ related construction experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, construction experience, and/or training
