Project Controls Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain weekly cost forecast reports (ETC/EAC)
  • Maintain project commitments, incurred and actual costs
  • Perform cost variance analysis
  • Aid in the development, evolution, and standardization of documents/procedures company-wide
  • Earned value management reporting
  • Support operations with estimated organization and cost budget development
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned, including various project reporting

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelors in Finance or Accounting with 3+ years of experience, or 5+ years of related experience
  • Construction industry experience preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret job costs and overall general accounting
  • Ability to effectively present information to other managers regarding project controls, processes, and procedures
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills combined with best-in-practice customer service attitude
  • Comfortable taking leadership roles and effectively influencing others
  • Flexible and able to shift priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative, friendly, and accommodating personality to serve internal customers
  • Confidential handling of all personnel issues/documentation
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Attention to detail and follow-up is a must
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form
