About the role

This highly visible and fast-paced position serves as a trusted financial resource for construction projects, liaising between operations and corporate finance. Key responsibilities include financial reporting, compliance, and processing responsibilities over projects ranging from $20 million to $1 billion in contract value.

Responsibilities

  • Compile owner requisitions
  • Resolve internal audit findings
  • Process subcontractor requisitions and accounts payable
  • Purchase consumable materials and monitor equipment inventory
  • Manage field payroll
  • Aid in project setup, closeout, and owner contract review
  • Administer lien waivers and insurance
  • Track small businesses
  • Support project finance with forecasts and reports
  • Monitor and forecast project cash flow
  • Monitor and reconcile change orders
  • Lead contract administration, procurement, and scheduling
  • Secure required permits and verify insurance coverage
  • Facilitate project meetings
  • Prepare and submit monthly job status reports
  • Lead project close-out
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and vendors
  • Participate in proposal and presentation development
  • Recruit and retain top talent
  • Support safety initiatives on the project site
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders

Requirements

The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and reliability are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, along with strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment and adapt to various weather conditions and noise levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Equivalent work experience in a construction finance or accounting role
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Careful attention to detail and reliability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with SAP, Textura, Coupa, or Google platforms is a plus
  • Highly motivated, organized, and time management skills
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
