Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of project accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring all contractual terms and conditions are met and vendors fulfill their obligations.
- Develop and implement financial control procedures and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure effective financial management of projects.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Use forecasting tools and techniques to predict project costs and outcomes.
- Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial strategies and plans.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is an advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the energy industry.
- Proven experience in vendor management, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insightful analysis.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial markets, and banking.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound financial decisions.
- A high level of integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially.
Pay
$50 - $65 per hour
