Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating and managing immigration projects, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and within scope.
- Support the preparation and filing of immigration applications and petitions, including gathering and organizing necessary documentation such as immigration status documents, employment records, and identification documents.
- Remain current of alerts and information regarding changes to immigration laws and procedures and raise issues to attorney and paralegals where such changes impact immigration templates and information.
- Maintain and update project databases and case management systems, ensuring all information is accurate and accessible.
- Communicate with clients to collect information, provide updates on project status, and address any questions or concerns.
- Assist in drafting correspondence, reports, and summaries related to immigration cases, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings and interviews, including preparing agendas and materials.
- Monitor project timelines and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of tasks and alerting team members to upcoming deadlines.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and implement best practices in project management.
- All other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and two years of project management experience required in a related field, or the combined equivalent of education and experience.
- Experience in immigration services is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
- Demonstrates strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Works effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Schedule
The Project Assistant will work a regular full-time in-person schedule of 7.5 hours a day, equivalent to 37.5 hours a week as determined by the Office Administrator and/or the assigned attorneys.
