Project Architect, RA
Principle Areas Of Responsibility
- Develops design concepts through construction documents.
- Responsible for the preparation of contract drawings.
- Captures and coordinates with the project team of architects and engineers.
- Meets independently with vendors to review specific products to be incorporated into construction documents.
- Performs code reviews and meets independently with local code officials to review and determine specific local code requirements and project compliance.
- Develops presentation documents utilizing design training and participates in design presentations to Clients.
- Reviews contractor requests during the bidding phase and develops and coordinates the distribution of addenda to the Contractors.
- Reviews contractor requests and submittals during the construction phase.
- Conducts field visits during the construction phase to monitor and review the progress of the construction and complete field reports.
- Trips onsite to project fields for client meetings and site inspections and visits: ~25% requirement
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture required from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in an Architectural Design firm.
- United States Architecture License required.
- Detailed knowledge of architectural/engineering practice with an emphasis on design, design development, preparation of construction documents, preparation of specifications, building materials, construction costs, and building codes.
- Proficiency in REVIT and currently performing production work required.
- Multi-story building design experience required.
- Must be proficient with AutoCAD.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance is required.
Optional Experience
- Experience with facilities for clients in the Federal Government sector is highly desirable.
Salary Base
This full-time position as a Project Architect, level III has an annual base range of $108,900-$131,500. This position is eligible for overtime in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements. The actual hourly rate is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
