Project Architect/Project Manager (Architect) - Healthcare

About the role

Beck is seeking a Project Architect to join their team. This role involves developing and leading a team through the more technical aspects of a project.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing document quality control reviews
• Build systems selection, evaluation, and detailing
• Closely work with Project Manager to follow both client and internal budgets
• Closely work with Project Manager to establish project plan, milestone schedule, and staffing
• Collaborate with Project Manager and Construction Team to understand cost estimates, construction sequencing, and constructability
• Research specific building systems
• Closely work with the Project Designer to execute the vision and spirit of the design
• Lead project team through documentation, modeling, quality control, and consultant coordination
• Apply zoning, building, life safety, accessibility, and energy codes
• Assist in the development of project manuals
• Resolve technical issues on project
• Lead and/or delegate construction administration
• Mentor and train younger staff

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant architecture experience
• College graduate with relevant, NAAB accredited degree
• Professional registration
• Frequent physical demands including sitting, standing, lifting up to 10 lbs, operating computers, attending meetings, coordinating with project teams, adhering to architectural standards, and maintaining consistent attendance

• Passionate about integrated project delivery methods and innovation
• Ability to lead project aspects from a technical perspective
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with Revit and Bluebeam
• Understanding of zoning, building, life safety, accessibility, and energy codes
• Ability to resolve technical issues
• Ability to mentor and train younger staff
