Responsibilities
- Ensures the overall design intent of the project established by the Project Designer is incorporated into the detailed project documentation
- Makes sure the design process from the conceptual phase through construction administration stays consistent and correctly carried out
- Handles the technical resolution and coordination of a part of a project or multiple projects, including managing drawings and specifications
- Checks completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations for accuracy
- Coordinates the use and tracking of shared electronic documentation and files with the project team, clients, and consultants
- Writes reports and documentation to consultants and vendors to issue changes and track resolutions
- Prepares meeting minutes of consultant coordination meetings
- Manages project documents and identifies the sheets planned for each stage of the work, including organizing data into files and incorporating BIM elements
- Manages standards
- Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the project team
- Coordinates communication with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure all information is included in project requirements, offering support when needed
- Manages construction detail documentation to ensure it meets quality assurance, quality control, and best practice standards
- Supervises the preparation of technical drawings by other less senior-level architects or team members
- Prepares meeting minutes
- Performs as team leader on certain projects
- Mentors and directs the work of team members, reviewing their work and providing development opportunities
- Incorporates Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects
- Fosters a green workplace through sustainable work practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
- Professional license required
- Environmental accreditation preferred
- 10+ years of experience designing small to mid-size architectural projects, including urban and resort hotels
- Proficiency in technical skills, including AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D modeling software, such as Rhino and SketchUp
- Sketching skills required
- Knowledge of architectural building systems, integrated design, trends, construction methodology, QA/QC process, building codes, and the ability to research and apply to technical documents
- Experience in client management, project management, and negotiations
- Ability to work in a team environment and supervise others
- Highly effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Salary range: $90,000-$120,000 per year
