Project Architect
About the role
DeOld Andersen Architecture (DAA) is seeking a full-time architect with 3–6 years of professional experience. Based in Omaha, Nebraska, DAA is an architecture and design partnership whose work spans commercial, residential, and institutional projects—from pocket parks and public spaces to school renovations, workplace design, historic rehabilitation, single- and multi-family residences, and speculative research. The studio values design opportunities found in everyday conditions, using convention as a springboard for more meaningful spatial experiences.
This role involves working directly with studio principals through all project phases on a wide variety of project types. The successful candidate will lead multiple projects independently and collaborate on large-scale efforts as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Develop design solutions that integrate sustainability, accessibility, and code compliance
- Prepare construction documentation using BIM software (Vectorworks 2026)
- Apply strong technical knowledge of building construction, detailing, materials, and systems
- Multi-task, establish priorities, and work independently
- Communicate design concepts and technical details clearly in written and oral form
Requirements
- NAAB-accredited professional degree in architecture
- 3–6 years of professional experience
- Portfolio demonstrating strong design conceptualization, visualization, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Vectorworks 2026 or comparable BIM software
