Project Analyst, PMO & Project Controls
Position Overview
Nexus Circular is seeking a Project Analyst to support the build-out of our Project Management Office (PMO) and drive execution excellence across major capital projects. This role is critical in bridging gaps between engineering, procurement, and construction teams by providing structured coordination, schedule integration, and cost visibility.
In the near term, this role will play a key part in supporting the 6B project, ensuring alignment across disciplines and enabling leadership to make informed, data-driven decisions.

- Support cost tracking, accruals, and forecasting to improve financial visibility and prevent budget overruns.
- Enable Faster Decision-Making
- Provide clear, structured reporting and analytics so leadership can proactively manage risks and opportunities.
- Reduce Execution Risk
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and dependencies across project scopes before they impact field execution.
- Scale the PMO Function
- Establish repeatable processes, tools, and standards that will support future projects beyond 6B.
Key Responsibilities
Project Scheduling & Coordination (25%)
- Develop and maintain integrated master project schedules across engineering, procurement, and construction scopes
- Cookordination with discipline leads to ensure accurate activity sequencing, durations, and dependencies
- Identify critical path impacts and proactively flag risks
EPC Integration (10%)
- Align engineering deliverables with procurement timelines and construction execution plans
- Track key milestones across all project phases
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination meetings and follow-ups
Cost & Financial Support (20%)
- Assist in cost tracking, forecasting, and accruals
- Support budget management and change tracking
- Partner with finance and project managers to ensure accurate reporting
PMO Development (45%)
- Support the development of PMO standards, templates, and reporting tools
- Build dashboards and reporting structures for leadership visibility
- Help implement best practices for project controls and governance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field
- Finance or business administration is also allowed with manufacturing and/or technical experience
- 2–5+ years of experience in project controls, project management, or EPC environments
- Strong understanding of project scheduling (Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar)
- Experience with cost tracking and financial reporting on capital projects
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Skills around traditional waterfall (GANTT) chart project management, resource loading, cost loading, and critical path analysis are required
- Experience with understanding engineering, equipment procurement, and construction contracts
- Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting large-scale industrial, oil & gas, chemical, or infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with EPC project lifecycles
- Exposure to PMO development or project controls frameworks
