About the role

We’re hiring a Project Analyst / Office Coordinator to support our work with K–12 school districts across California by coordinating day-to-day office operations and assisting with development research and analysis, developer fee studies, State funding applications, and project coordination.

Our work includes completion of State funding applications and Developer Fee Justification Studies. JSA has secured over $2.5 billion in State School Facility Program funding for school districts throughout California.

Responsibilities

  • Support office operations, including phones, social media posts, invoicing, accounts receivable/payable, supplies, and vendors.
  • Maintain project files, databases, billing records, and expense documentation.
  • Track project timelines, client follow-ups, Board dates, application requirements, and deadlines.
  • Prepare developer fee studies and supporting research, projections, analyses, and documents.
  • Collect and analyze residential development data from City and County agencies.
  • Prepare enrollment, capacity, dwelling-unit, and long-range development analyses.
  • Support SFP and State grant applications by preparing required forms and documents.
  • Coordinate with school districts, public agencies, consultants, architects, and State agencies.
  • Draft and format reports, proposals, correspondence, spreadsheets, and PDF deliverables.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Strong research, analytical, writing, and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Professional communication skills with strong follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently and produce organized, accurate work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in research, data analysis, project coordination, or document preparation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS, Timeslips, or Constant Contact is a plus.
