Project Accounting Manager
About the role
Capsa Healthcare is seeking a Project Accounting Manager to oversee the financial lifecycle of all active projects, ensuring accurate project budgeting, revenue recognition, cost tracking, and financial reporting spanning over 4 international entities (U.S., Netherlands, Mexico & Canada).
Responsibilities
Financial Project Management: Manage the full-cycle accounting for organizational projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking actual expenditures against project plans.
Coordinate most especially with the Finance Manager in Capsa’s business in Netherlands.
Partner directly with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and the CFMO team to provide financial oversight, guidance, and strategic analysis for Pharmacy Automation related projects.
Provide ongoing mentorship, guidance, and professional development support to a more junior staff accountant within the finance team.
Ensure accurate revenue recognition across complex project lines in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., percentage-of-completion method) and internal Capsa Healthcare policies.
Prepare and analyze monthly project performance reports, highlighting budget variances, profitability trends, and risks to support executive decision-making.
Develop, refine, and modernize project accounting processes to increase accuracy and scalability, including optimizing data flow within internal ERP and HRIS environments.
Audit & Compliance: Ensure all project-related financial transactions are meticulously documented, compliant with corporate policies, and fully prepared for internal and external audits.
General Cooperatively provides hands-on job function training to co-workers as needed.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in project accounting or corporate finance, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and demonstrated experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar enterprise platforms).
Leadership & Mentorship: Proven ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate financial insights effectively to non-financial stakeholders, including executive leadership.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience collaborating across functional departments such as Commercial and Operations teams.
Qualifications
Must understand and comply with Safety, 5S, ISO, and other corporate programs, initiatives and procedures.
