About the role

Atlantic Group is hiring a Project Accounting Analyst in Chester County, PA for our client, supporting project accounting, profitability analysis, cost tracking, billing, and financial reporting within a project-based environment. This role will partner with accounting, finance, and operations teams to monitor project performance, analyze costs, support invoicing activities, and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate has an accounting or finance background, strong analytical skills, and an interest in project-driven industries such as construction, engineering, real estate, or professional services.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze project financial performance, profitability, budgets, forecasts, and operational metrics to support business decision-making.
  • Monitor project costs, prepare accruals, review expenses, and ensure accurate financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with project invoicing, revenue tracking, billing reconciliation, and client-related financial activities.
  • Prepare project reports, variance analyses, and financial summaries for accounting, finance, and operational leadership.
  • Maintain project financial records, validate data accuracy, and support reporting initiatives across multiple projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required.
  • 1+ years of accounting, finance, audit, project accounting, or financial analysis experience is required.
  • Experience within construction, engineering, real estate, professional services, or other project-based industries is preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, Sage Intacct, Procore, or similar platforms are preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with a proactive, dependable, and collaborative approach are required.
