Project Accountant - Pasadena, TX
About the role
The Project Accountant position at Turner Industries Group is essential for assisting Project Accountants and Project Accounting Management in ensuring that invoicing on each project is handled accurately, efficiently, and professionally. This role is non-exempt and takes daily direction from a Project Accounting Team Lead, with assigned duties following specific procedures. The position requires extensive technical skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Reports.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit detailed and accurate invoices of reimbursable costs associated with maintenance and construction projects to clients.
- Communicate and work closely with other departments, field personnel, and client representatives to compile invoicing information and resolve issues.
- Work well with other Project Accountants and offer assistance when needed.
- Help prepare detailed and accurate month-end accruals (when necessary).
- Research, report, and explain billing transactions to Accounting Management.
- Perform additional assignments as directed by supervisors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Business
- Self-motivated, problem-solving, mentor, communication, time management
- Extensive technical skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Reports
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
