With over 800 employees and consistent 15% year-over-year growth, Wilson & Company is a thriving, dynamic organization poised for continued success. We are now seeking a Project Accountant to add to the team.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of general accounting practices.
- Working experience in Deltek, experience with Vision or Vantagepoint a plus.
- Assists with resolving complex project variances.
- Identify and implement alternative solutions to prevent project cost overruns.
- Manages accounts receivable by communicating with clients to identify and resolve account discrepancies.
- Collections unsettled accounts receivable to ensure timely cash flow.
- Prepares project cost breakdown to external clients and presents results to management.
- Prepares weekly collection reports and reviews assigned accounts for accuracy and ensures project reconciliations are being completed.
- Maintains account balance and collaborates with internal teams to resolve billing and account-related concerns.
- Represents department with a positive and cooperative attitude in all interactions.
- Daily entries of project activities with extensive details that are critical to the continuation of construction projects.
- Reviews and audits projects’ As-builts to ensure quality and completeness of project.
- Ensures all activities comply with federal, state, and company financial policies and regulations.
- Implements process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years in project administration, preferably in an engineering or technically related field.
Qualifications
- Strong aptitude for cost analysis, particularly in relation to collections and reconciliation issues.
- Technical expertise to provide support for complex and high-risk matters involving assigned accounts and project cost evaluations.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Skills
- Knowledge of general accounting practices.
- Experience with Deltek, Vision, or Vantagepoint.
- Ability to assist with resolving complex project variances.

Pay
Annual Salary Range: $55,000 - $75,000 (Depending on Experience)
