Responsibilities
- Lead project setup activities, including scheduling meetings and preparing project documentation.
- Establish and manage financial frameworks, such as billing calendars and project budgets, to support smooth project execution.
- Build strong relationships and collaborate cross-functionally with project managers and team members to ensure timely and accurate financial processes.
- Oversee compliance with company SOPs and contractual obligations, including subcontracts, change orders, and lien waivers.
- Drive the monthly billing cycle, ensuring all costs are correctly posted, invoices processed, and deadlines met.
- Facilitate project closeout tasks by coordinating final documentation, warranties, and project evaluations.
- Maintain proficiency with construction and accounting software.
- Support risk management initiatives by ensuring subcontractor compliance and accurate documentation.
- Promote continuous improvement by learning new tools, techniques, and best practices to enhance project accounting workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a strong emphasis on finance, accounting, or related fields.
- 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within construction, subcontracting, or professional services industries.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with client service orientation.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with procurement processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to reliability and accuracy.
