Project Accountant

Essential Duties

• Assistance in preparing monthly AIA/G702 & G703
• Review and process vendor invoices and subcontractor AIA billings
• Preparation of funding request packages to be submitted to municipalities, banks or partners
• Perform monthly bank statement reconciliations and general ledger entries
• Maintain accurate and rigorous tracking of a project's finances
• Prepare tax return and cost certification
• Aid in managing subcontractor contracts and compliances

  Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting
  • Minimum of 3 years of construction accounting experience
  • Experience with preparing and reviewing construction jobs
  • Experience in Accounts Payable, Job Cost and GL reconciliation
  • Strong work ethic and desire to grow with a growing company
  • Ambitious individual for a fun, flexible working environment
  • Proficient communicator and listener
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Excellent quantitative analysis and financial modeling skills using Excel
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting
  • Knowledge of Multi-Family or Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (preferred)
  • Jonas Premier experience (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office software programs
  • Willingness to use other job-related technology tools
