About the role
RMF Engineering is seeking a Project Accountant for our Baltimore office. This role supports the Controller by handling a variety of accounting tasks essential to the firm’s operations.
Responsibilities
- Processing monthly client invoices
- Preparing daily bank deposits
- Posting monthly journal entries
- Managing collections and cash receipts
- Performing account reconciliations
- Conducting financial analysis
- Issuing purchase orders
- Administering contracts
- Preparing monthly government reports
- Other duties as assigned to assist the Controller
The successful candidate will make accurate, independent decisions, maintain a positive attitude, and prioritize multiple deadlines. Flexibility and willingness to work overtime as needed are required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum 7 years of practical accounting experience
- Accounts receivable and billing experience
- Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Office
- Professional-level oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional service contracts administration experience
- Deltek Vision experience (highly preferred)
