Project Accountant

About the role

The Project Accountant will work closely with Finance team members and various internal Client Project leaders to ensure the timely and accurate billing and revenue accounting of a wide variety of consulting project engagements.

Responsibilities

• Perform project setup in accounting system (SuiteProjects Pro and NetSuite)
• Prepare and issue client invoices
• Review client contracts and monitor compliance with company process
• Support the company’s time and expense process
• Participate in our revenue assurance process
• Affiliate in our bi-annual testing of our accounting system upgrades

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role, including billing, accounts receivable management, and revenue accounting
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines
• High level of attention to detail
• Superior analytical thinking
• A desire to solve problems, think creatively, and adapt to a dynamic environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to collaborate successfully
• Strong organizational skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including proficiency with Excel
• Experience with SuiteProjects Pro and/or NetSuite preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or comparable experience
