Project Accountant - Construction
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all project-related financial activities, including but not limited to, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate records of Work in Progress (WIP) and Cost to Complete (CTC) for all ongoing projects.
- Prepare and analyze project financial statements, identifying and explaining variances to budget.
- Review project requisitions, ensuring all costs are captured accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets, financial plans, and profitability goals.
- Monitor project expenditures, ensuring they align with project budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare regular financial reports for senior management, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
- Ensure all project accounting activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Aid in the development and implementation of project accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the Engineering industry.
- Proficient in WIP, CTC, Project Forecasting, and Requisitions.
- Strong analytical skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent financial modeling and forecasting abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong capabilities in Excel.
- Knowledge of project management software and accounting systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound financial decisions.
- Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is a plus.

We develop strong relationships, both internally and externally, complete work thoroughly and timely, and uphold budgetary financials.
