About the opportunity for a Project Accountant

Ready to take your accounting career to the next level near the Seacoast? We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Project Accountant to join a thriving organization in Seabrook, NH. This hybrid position offers the perfect blend of in-office collaboration (3 days) and remote flexibility (2 days), all while working on a diverse and evolving property portfolio—including active construction and work-in-progress (WIP) projects.

What You’ll Do

• Own full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties and active development projects
• Manage day-to-day accounting functions including AP/AR, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
• Track and report on construction budgets, job costs, and WIP schedules
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, identifying trends and variances
• Partner closely with property managers, project managers, and leadership to provide actionable financial insights
• Auxiliary with annual budgeting, forecasting, and audit support

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience (real estate required; construction/WIP exposure strongly preferred)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger management
• Experience with job costing, development accounting, or WIP reporting is a major plus
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort with accounting systems
