Project Accountant

About the role

A growing construction management company is seeking a Project Accountant to join its Construction Finance & Accounting team. This Project Accountant will partner closely with Project Managers, Operations, and Finance and support projects from setup through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, job costs, and monthly projections
• Prepare owner billings, including AIA G702/G703
• Manage retainage, lien waivers, and subcontractor compliance
• Review and cost-code invoices and resolve discrepancies
• Support project forecasting, audits, reconciliations, and closeout

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project accounting experience
• Construction industry experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of AIA billing, job costing, revenue recognition, retainage, and lien waivers
• Strong Excel skills; Sage, Procore, or TimberScan experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
