About the Role
Seeking a Project Engineering Manager to provide technical leadership and oversee the execution of complex, mega-scale Underground Transmission Line projects. This role involves managing multi-discipline teams and the full project lifecycle for investor-owned utilities.
Responsibilities
- Drive solutions for high-voltage underground transmission, including equipment specification and complex engineering calculations.
- Serve as "Responsible Charge" for multiple projects, establishing workplans and managing budgets, schedules, and quality.
- Identify client drivers, manage project changes, and support business development or pursuit activities.
- Oversee administrative duties for subordinates, including hiring, discipline, and pay administration.
- Review lower-level engineering assignments to ensure technical accuracy and adherence to design standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognized accredited program.
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience specifically in underground transmission.
- Must pass criminal/civil background, drug screen, and motor vehicle record searches.
Skills
- P.E. License highly preferred; professional registration or active pursuit of licensure is typically required.
- Working knowledge of CYMCAP and Pull-Planner, with experience developing plan and profile drawings.
- Experience managing EPC or design services for underground transmission projects.
- Advanced understanding of linear underground project lifecycles, procurement, permitting, and construction support.
Work Environment
- Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days.
- Ability to travel to client sites and utilize audio/videoconferencing tools for extended periods.
