About the role
Lee Health seeks experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for various Progressive Care specialty units across multiple locations in Southwest Florida. Positions are available in:
- Medical Progressive Care
- Surgical Progressive Care
- Gastrointestinal (GI) Surgical Progressive Care
- Comprehensive Progressive Care
- Neuro/Stroke Progressive Care
- Trauma Progressive Care & Stepdown
- Cardiac Progressive Care
- Cardiothoracic Stepdown
- Progressive Care Observation
Responsibilities
Responsible for the safe delivery and documentation of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Utilizes critical thinking, management, problem-solving, and differentiation of urgency in roles as clinician, teacher, researcher, leader, and professional developer. Directs and coordinates nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achieve desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization’s vision and mission. Incorporates knowledge of patient’s age and cultural diversity into patient care. Contributes to quality nursing care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement techniques.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required; Associates or Bachelors preferred.
Experience required. Qualified individuals will successfully complete the competency assessment. Experience requirements may vary by department. Please reference the Nursing Addendums for department-specific requirements.
Certification Requirements
Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date. Certification requirements may vary by department. Please reference the Nursing Addendums for department-specific requirements.
Licenses
Currently licensed in the State of Florida.
Other Requirements
Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
