Progressive Care Nurse

Job Summary

You will provide exceptional intermediate nursing care, manage complex clinical conditions, and administer specialized treatments to acutely ill patients transitioning from intensive care or requiring close telemetry monitoring. You will work within our Progressive Care Unit, managing a dynamic patient assignment and utilizing advanced monitoring technology.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate and identify informational and emotional needs of patients and families
• Assess vital signs and cardiac rhythms, and rapidly intervene if a patient's condition changes
• Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Assists with patient care duties/tasks (e.g., emptying drainage devices, ambulating, hygiene)
• Initiates emergency support measures (e.g., cardiopulmonary resuscitation, protecting patient from injury)

Required Job Requirements

• Associate's degree of Nursing or foreign equivalent
• Critical care competency exam passing grade or successful completion of assigned online AACN Critical Care curriculum within one (1) year
• One (1) year acute care RN experience
• Valid compact state or Arizona RN license
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certificate
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certificate
• Demonstrates competency in basic EKG skills by passing EKG test or successfully completing basic EKG class/modules within six (6) months

Preferred Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree of Nursing or foreign equivalent
• Two (2) years of medical/surgical or one (1) year of critical care experience

Pay

$35.00 - $58.63 /hour
