Progressive Care Cardiopulmonary Nurse
About the Role
As a Progressive Care Registered Nurse, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, you will provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, serving as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitor response.
- Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- NIHSS Stroke Certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

About the Facility
TriStar Summit is a 230+ bed comprehensive facility serving Davidson, Wilson, and surrounding counties. We include a Level III Trauma Center and offer a full array of acute care services, including cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics/spine, rehabilitation, and women’s services. We are an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI and a Primary Stroke Center, making us a leading provider of emergency heart and stroke care.
