Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. May be eligible for statewide placement within Oklahoma.
Annual Salary: $55,874.34 + full state employee benefits. Occasional travel required. Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain required car insurance.
Minimum Qualifications
- A master’s degree and three years of professional experience in one of the following fields:
- Social work
- Child support
- Adult protective services
- Child welfare
- Early childhood development and education
- Guidance and counseling
- Nursing
- Intellectual disability services
- Probation and parole
- Public administration
- Community-based prevention and diversionary youth services programs
- Juvenile justice
- Rehabilitation counseling
- Vocational evaluation or vocational rehabilitation
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education.
- Professional experience in the listed fields must have been the primary job responsibility to be considered qualifying; incidental performance of professional work does not count.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to frontline staff and individual teams to address supports for individuals with co-occurring intellectual disabilities and behavioral health needs.
- Regularly meet with individual teams to guide them toward acceptable practices rather than prohibited procedures.
- Guide teams through due process when restrictive protocols are necessary.
- Apply and interpret policy, including:
- OAC 340:100-5-57 Protective Intervention Protocols
- OAC 340:100-5-58 Prohibited Procedures
- Monitor behavior support providers.
- Conduct physical management consults to determine whether physical management is safe and appropriate.
- Review DDS-42 submissions for temporary approval of restrictive procedures.
