Programmer

Plan and develop CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining centers. Program CNC machines using advanced cutting tools and technology. Design fixtures for manufacturing products. Develop CNC programs primarily using Mastercam. Establish CNC programming standard work procedures as part of a virtual qualification system interfaced with Mastercam and Vericut. Responsibilities Develop new and improve existing machining programs using Mastercam.Review current machining practices for manufacturability and cost effectiveness.Provide shop support and operator training as needed.Work directly with Machine Shop, Inspection, Engineering, and Planning teams to resolve manufacturing concerns.Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in an aerospace or aircraft machine shop.Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and manufacturing principles.Experience programming with Mastercam.Experience programming multi-axis CNC machines (3-, 4-, and 5-axis) is required. Requirements High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree or technical certification in a related field preferred.Proficient in Mastercam programming.Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming.Experience setting up and troubleshooting CNC machines.Ability to select appropriate tooling and machining resources for manufacturing parts.Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.Ability to read precision measuring instruments and gauges.Self-motivated and able to work independently.Positive attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills.Professional, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Commitment to maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
