Location: Lansing, MI. Hybrid schedule: onsite two days a week (Tue/Wed) from day one. Local candidates only—must be within 90 miles of Lansing at time of submission. 1-year project with possibility of extension.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Programmer Analyst with strong Salesforce expertise to support a project migrating data from Classic to Lightning.
Responsibilities
- Work with colleagues, customers, and end users to define technical requirements for new projects and future enhancements.
- Ensure technical requirements align with customer requirements, performance goals, and long-term strategy.
- Own release cycles to implement and deploy new or updated applications and code.
- Take overall technical responsibility for project environments.
- Compile internal development guidelines/standards and ensure team compliance.
- Collaborate with developers of other systems to integrate across the business.
- Ensure proposed solutions adhere to security guidelines and standards throughout the application lifecycle.
- Communicate strategic technical concepts at an executive level and serve as a trusted voice in decision-making.
- Devise a training plan for the development team for a smooth transition to Maintenance & Operations.
- Participate in each phase of full Salesforce.com lifecycle implementations.
- Implement solutions using configurations (no-code) such as Flows, Process Builders, and Workflow Rules.
- Work with technical managers, architects, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and drive implementation.
- Integrate Salesforce with cloud-based and on-premises applications using standard and custom REST APIs.
- Implement authentication protocols (OAuth) to integrate third-party applications.
- Develop and maintain Batch Apex and/or Schedule Apex.
- Own end-to-end technical aspects of a Salesforce program: data migrations, data quality, systems integrations, third-party applications, AppExchange products, and custom development.
- Define, communicate, and manage technical change management processes for Salesforce technology efforts.
- Assess Salesforce architecture and provide secure, high-performance technical solutions on the Force.com platform.
- Design and document technical architecture solutions spanning multiple platforms, including integration and authentication.
- Support SFDX development, branch management, merging, and code deployment using Azure DevOps CI/CD.
- Identify risks and issues from a technical perspective.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in any study.
- Strong experience migrating from Salesforce Classic to Lightning (required).
- 5+ years of experience with Salesforce Digital Experience Sites.
- Experience migrating Legacy Visualforce Portals to Digital Experience Sites.
- 5+ years of experience with GoMeddo Scheduling customization or equivalent scheduling products.
- 5+ years of experience with Conga Composer.
- 6+ years of strong Salesforce development experience.
- 4+ years of experience developing within the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, HTML5, and JavaScript.
- 5+ years of experience working with Service Cloud.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning, including LWC.
- Strong knowledge and working experience in Service Cloud and Experience Cloud.
- In-depth understanding of Salesforce capabilities and constraints.
- Hands-on experience writing Apex programming, Visualforce pages, Apex triggers, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components.
- Good experience with core web technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, and web services (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML).
- Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce with cloud-based and on-premises applications using REST APIs.
- Demonstrated successful implementation of Batch Apex and/or Schedule Apex.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II.
- Salesforce Experience Cloud certification.
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and Salesforce Certified Administrator.
- 2+ years of experience with API integrations and Single Sign-On (SSO) implementations.
- Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps or comparable tools for requirements tracking, CI/CD, or release management.
- Exposure to data migration and/or cloud integration projects.
- Familiarity with governmental processes and compliance, including prior experience working with FedRAMP-compliant tools and environments.
