About the role
The Programme Consultant supports the implementation of Education and Child Protection programmes in the assigned Field Office. They provide operational, administrative, and programme support to the Programme Officer, ensuring timely and quality programme delivery in line with UNICEF policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support to Programme Officer in the Field Office.
- Manage data tracking, consolidation, and reporting tools.
- Document key challenges, programme delivery, and support to partners in the field.
- Support partner coordination and follow-up.
- Conduct visits to community centers, Public Schools, MAKANI & DIRASA Programmes.
- Aid in organizing assessments, field activities, and documentation.
- Ensure timely information flow between partners, field teams, and coordination structures.
- Attend relevant meetings related to section, sector, and assist in programme follow-up and monitoring.
Requirements
- A university degree (Bachelor's) in Social Work, Education, Public Administration, Social Sciences, International Development, or a related field is required.
- At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in programme support, preferably in child protection, education, humanitarian, or development programmes.
- Experience working with government counterparts, NGOs, and local authorities and coordination is desirable.
- Experience supporting emergency response and recovery programmes is desirable.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (high proficiency written and spoken) is required. French is a plus.
