Program Team Intern - Fall Semester 2026
Position Description and Scope of Work
Program Support (80%):
Get hands-on with event prep by packing, unpacking, and organizing supplies for volunteer programs across the region.
Help keep the office running smoothly through inventory management and supply purchasing.
Support key nonprofit partnerships by coordinating logistics around donation shipment, delivery, and collection of kits and supplies.
Manage the shipment of kits and supplies to nonprofit partners, gaining experience in logistics and operations.
Assist in developing virtual volunteering experiences using the Heyflow platform.
General Organizational Support (20%):
Assist with facilitating corporate days of service on-site at client offices or at local nonprofits.
Research nonprofit partner organizations and develop informational resources about their volunteer opportunities and current needs.
Support office upkeep to ensure that our shared workspace is organized and professional.
Record and share meeting minutes for Program Team meetings.
Qualifications
- Passion for and interest in Building Impact’s mission of community engagement and volunteerism.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort with technology and ability to learn and build competency with the tools of the job.
- Demonstrated professionalism. Shows up on time, dressed appropriately, and follows organizational systems.
- Comfort with ambiguity and problem-solving.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with Google Drive systems.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects and manage time well.
- Ability to handle moderate to heavy lifting when needed.
- Experience with public speaking and event facilitation is a plus.
Schedule/Compensation
September 2026 - December 2026 (with the potential to extend into winter months, pending evaluation.)
Flexible start/end dates – can accommodate an academic or work schedule.
Paid or credited hourly, commensurate with experience.
