About the role
The Data Management and Program Support Analyst for the Small Spacecraft Technology (SST) Program will manage the integration and distribution of data and provide information management support for the SST Program.
Responsibilities
- Manage and organize data for the SST Program
- Develop and maintain SST’s system(s) that store and organize data
- Analyze programmatic and technical data and data products
- Carefully share data with external stakeholders to support programmatic and technical communication
- Ensure all data is shared with utmost security and confidentiality
- Administer weekly SST meetings to update database on a regular cadence
- Track incoming NASA proposals and ensure data, including decision documentation, is properly recorded in the database
- Provide technical writing and Section 508 compliance support
- Perform other duties as requested, including analysis and meeting support
Data Management
- Affirm current and projected database performance and recommend changes and enhancements
- Resolve data conflicts for matters such as naming conventions, data privacy, and data ownership
- Support STMD reporting requirements by working with the SST staff to update data, provide reports, and database upgrades to ensure compliance
- Identify, define, and assess the properties, specifications, and structure necessary for the database management system to meet current and future needs of the organization and stakeholders
- Define and execute procedures for testing and implementing new applications in the database environment
- Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures related to data security, integrity, and access
- Develop, maintain, and control data libraries specific to Small Spacecraft Technology, including unique attributes and metrics related to space technology development projects
- Draft training documentation and guidelines for analysts and end users
- Maintain knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in database management systems and related technology
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field
- 6 years of relevant experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- One or more of the following: Power Automate, Python, SQL, API usage, Data Visualization (eg. PowerBI or Tableau)
- Experience with ETL & Data Modeling
- Ability to design, test, search, and secure databases and extract, transform, model, and load data
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Additional Information
Work schedule is full-time/40hrs per week. Contract duration is 6mo.
