About the role

Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has grown into an organization operating across the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee and Kentucky. Thompson’s continuum of care encompasses three domains: prevention, mental health services and foster care. All Thompson programs are trauma-informed and evidence-based/evidence-informed with the intention of building resilience in our clients (ages 0–18) and their families, both virtually and in person. Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day oversight of assigned programs, staff, and other responsibilities
  • Drive financial performance, staff retention/engagement, and program outcomes/quality data
  • Model principles of the Leadership Pipeline as a Leader of Others
  • Perform hands-on operational oversight and accountability for assigned program(s)
  • Maintain rotating shifts between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. throughout the week
  • Participate in a rotating on-call weekend schedule

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Verified 2 years of work experience as a high-performing individual contributor in a related field
  • Exposure to leadership/management experiences either through short-term project management, coordination, training or actual leadership positions
  • Displays the capacity/coachability for future growth and development as a leader
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Meet any credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards as it pertains to the program(s) you lead
  • Pass a drug screening test
  • Pass an extensive background check
