Program Supervisor - Mankato, MN
Job Purpose
The Program Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring a safe, supportive, and well-run home environment for the individuals we serve. This position oversees daily operations, supports staff, and helps maintain a high quality of care. The Program Supervisor provides guidance, encouragement, and hands-on assistance to help individuals thrive both at home and in the community.
Schedule
This role typically follows a Monday–Friday schedule, with direct-support shifts complemented by administrative hours arranged around program needs. Schedule: Monday-Friday (and every other weekend for our ICF location)
Location
Multiple locations in the Mankato area.
Wage
Starting wage is $22.00 per hour. After 90 days, staff are eligible for $22.50 per hour. After 1 year, staff are eligible for $23.00 per hour.

What You'll Do
- Provide supportive, person-centered supervision to individuals and team members while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Assist individuals with daily living needs and encourage engagement in home and community activities.
- Support medical needs, including medication administration and attending appointments.
- Monitor personal finances for individuals served and maintain a clean, safe living environment.
- Oversee program operations, including budgeting, location upkeep, equipment, and vehicle maintenance.
- Complete required documentation and communicate updates related to programming, shifts, and maintenance.
- Supervise and support staff through scheduling, orientation, team meetings, and performance management.
- Ensure safe staffing ratios and promote a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Participate in on-call rotation and handle tasks during unstructured shift time.
- Aid in planning and implementing person-centered plans.
- Follow all health, safety, and HIPAA guidelines.
- Provide direct care and support as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of supervisory experience or equivalent education/experience.
- Demonstrated ability to serve as a positive role model for staff and individuals served.
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with an insurable driving record (unless otherwise noted).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills; able to problem-solve and respond effectively in emergencies.
- Able to facilitate conflict resolution and apply basic behavioral concepts.
- Positive attitude and strong advocacy skills.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Must pass a Minnesota Department of Human Services Background Study.
