Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Content Specialist to develop, coordinate, and manage curriculum and enrichment programming across all required COMPASS content areas.
- Serve as the Data Specialist to complete and maintain participant attendance, activity tracking, enrollment, and other required program documentation accurately and on time.
- Create, organize lesson plans, and oversee the implementation of curriculum and lesson plans that align with DYCD COMPASS requirements and program goals.
- Provide direct supervision to Group Leaders, Youth Workers, and Volunteers.
- Provide observation, coaching, supervision, training, and ongoing support to Activity Specialists, Group Leaders, and Youth Workers to promote high-quality program implementation.
- Maintain curriculum materials, activity schedules, and instructional resources.
- Support the implementation of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), STEAM, literacy, physical activity, academic support, college and career exploration, and life skills programming.
- Monitor program activities to ensure they are engaging, age-appropriate, and aligned with DYCD COMPASS requirements.
- Review program data and documentation to ensure accuracy and assist with reports, monitoring visits, and quality assurance activities.
- Work closely with the Program Director to support daily program operations, staff development, family engagement, and special events.
- Build positive relationships with participants, families, school staff, community partners, and program staff to support a safe, welcoming, and engaging program.
- Other related duties as assigned by supervisor
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a supervisory or oversight role, including program development, staff supervision, training, and coaching.
- Experience developing or implementing curriculum, lesson plans, or enrichment programming for school-age children.
- Experience working in an afterschool, education, recreation, childcare, or youth development setting.
- Experience maintaining program documentation and working with attendance, participant records, or other program data preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach staff and collaborate with families, schools, and community partners.
- Able to assist with maintaining accurate program records, attendance, activity tracking, and documentation in accordance with DYCD and Rising Ground requirements.

Work Environment
- Field Position Type/Expected Work Hours: Part-Time
- Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, and weekends as needed, at assigned location.

- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to work in-person in New York City (NYC)
- Ability to travel to other Rising Ground Sites (if required)
