Program Staff, School Aged Child Care, Part Time, M-F afterschool
Location: 180 Constitution Avenue, Worcester, MA
About the role
Part-time, year-round Lead Staff position at the Kids Club (Boys & Girls Club of Worcester). Assist with providing fun and engaging social, recreational, and educational activities to children ages 5–13. Comply with EEC regulations. Reliable transportation is required.
Hours: Monday–Friday, 2 pm–6 pm, excluding school vacation weeks and summer break.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and delivering age-appropriate activities for children ages 5–13
- Lift up to 25 pounds
- Perform light cleaning and other assigned duties
- Remain physically active and on your feet for up to 3 hours at a time
Requirements
- Minimum age of 21 (per EEC regulations)
- Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Preferred: One year of experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising youth activities
- Confidence in providing academic support and navigating remote learning tools
- Strong computer and communication skills (informing, listening, writing)
- CPR and First Aid certifications preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred but not required
- Must pass a CORI check, national background check, and fingerprinting in accordance with EEC regulations

Boys & Girls Clubs of Worcester serves over 500 kids ages 5–18 daily across three locations. As a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, we combine national support with local focus to meet the needs of Worcester youth. Our mission is to provide an enriched environment that meets each child’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs. As one of the largest youth development agencies in Central Massachusetts, we strive to make a positive impact in the community.
The centers are closed on thirteen recognized holidays annually. If a holiday falls on a weekend, the closest Friday or Monday is observed.
