About the Role
To facilitate the coordination of programs at the District Level and to assist school staff in implementing programs which will provide English Learners in the district with educational opportunities of consistently high standard in line with the district's vision, mission, and values.
Responsibilities
- Provides assistance and information to school and district staff on content as assigned
- Acts as resource and assists school and district staff in selection of appropriate instructional materials
- Acts as resource for planning instructional in-services for school and district staff
- Serves and participates on district committees and performs related tasks
- Collaborates with departments across the district
- Provides supports for English Learners and immigrant students
- Supports the implementation of state and federal categorically-funded programs, grant funded programs, as well as school and district initiatives within the department
- Assists with state assessments
- Models personal and professional values of equity, integrity, caring, collaboration, and personal and collective accountability
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Valid California teaching credential
- Crosscultural, Language, and Academic Development (CLAD) Certificate, Bilingual, Crosscultural, Language, and Academic Development (BCLAD) Certificate or Bilingual Authorization
- Five years of successful classroom experience and/or school support
- Knowledge of effective teaching and learning skills and strategies for English Learners
Conditions of Employment
- Fingerprint clearance by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice
- Verification of completion of Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training (or obtain within six weeks of hire and annually thereafter)
- Some positions may require proof of privately owned automobile insurance and a valid California Motor Vehicle operator’s license
- Must disclose all previous employment at Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) as mandated by AB2534 and SB848
Pay
$88,016 - $150,033 annually (Max. salary includes educational stipend)
