About the role

The Foster Care Review Board (FCRB) Program Specialist provides professional level recommendation reports to the Juvenile Court Judges, maintains professional relationships with various child welfare stakeholders and the public, facilitates citizen review boards, prepares and schedules assigned cases, provides notice to interested parties, coordinates the exchange of information during each review, develops, prepares, and distributes the recommendation report for the court and all interested parties, recruits potential board members, develops professional relationships with case managers, board members and other community service providers, and performs State Board and community outreach/recruitment duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, and schedule assigned cases
  • Provide notice to interested parties
  • Cookordinate the exchange of information during each review
  • Develop, prepare and distribute the recommendation report for the court and all interested parties
  • Recruit potential board members
  • Develop professional relationships with case managers, board members and other community service providers
  • Perform State Board and community outreach/recruitment duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, court administration, social science or a related field
  • Two years’ experience in a related field, or equivalent
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Adeptness in performing multi tasks
  • Knowledge of Arizona laws, policies and procedures pertaining to foster care and the operation of the Foster Care Review Boards
  • Knowledge of Arizona Department of Child Protective Services policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Occasional statewide overnight travel may be required
