Program Specialist

About the role

The primary purpose of the position is to perform a diversity of complex tasks and operational functions associated with the provision of direct patient care. Provides operational management, resource supervision and monitoring, and program oversight, in support of the access and delivery of emergency patient care.

Responsibilities

• Manages, reviews, and coordinates procurement activities in the Emergency Service.
• Verifies accuracy and responds to all suspenses that come to the Emergency Department.
• Functions as the primary timekeeper for the Emergency Service.
• Develops, promotes, and maintains good relationships with a variety of groups.
• Gathers, assembles, and analyzes facts and presents oral and written reports to the Service Chief.
• Responsible for formulation and execution of annual budgets including salaries, overtime, travel, education, supplies, equipment, contracting, and all other general operating expenses.
• Responsible for the administration of FTEE management to include maintaining service organizational chart, entering FTEE requests, position classification, developing and maintaining service Position Descriptions & Functional Statements.
