About the role
Under the direction of the Director of Special Education, this position has the responsibility to develop, coordinate, and assist in supervising programs for general/special education students; provide consultative, support and advisory services to teachers, parents, administrators, and staff; oversee the development and implementation of prevention/intervention programs for students with and without disabilities; coordinate Section 504 District-wide; oversee special education and student information system database integration to ensure data are secure, accessible, accurate, and reliable for the District; assist with the facilitation of expulsion proceedings; assist in the development and implementation of district policies and budgets relating to the district program responsibilities; provide leadership in articulating and coordinating the programs through the various district organizational levels; assist district/site level administration in the evaluation of certificated and classified personnel staff within specified program areas.

Qualifications
- Eligible to apply for or holds a valid CA Administrative Services Credential and appropriate teaching and/or other prerequisite certificated credential(s).
- Valid education specialist teaching credential preferred.
- Valid certificated teaching and/or pupil personnel services credential(s).
- Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in a related field required; Doctorate desirable.
- Minimum three (3) years successful teaching experience.
- Experience with District databases preferred.

Pay
Current annual salary range: $139,532 - $161,755 plus $1,200 Doctoral Stipend.

218 days annually (2026/2027 school year). Full-time position located at the District Office.
