Final Secret Required
This position requires Final Secret clearance. Knowledge of the DoD 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM Rule), experience with DISS, NISS and other government regulations, and working knowledge of DISS, SIMS, and LM Corporate Security Tools are desired.
Responsibilities
- Develops, administers, and audits security programs for compliance with government regulations associated with the protection of classified material and export controlled data.
- Develops and executes security programs associated with the protection of proprietary information in compliance with corporate policies.
- Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company compliance and contract execution as set forth in DOD security manuals (NISPOM).
- Works closely with U. S. Government customers to seek contract execution approvals and seeks security rulings or deviations.
- Provides support in managing the quality, schedule, and cost expectations associated with program development and execution, while maintaining the fundamental security requirements defined by the customer/company and program.
- Prepares implementation manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to classified materials.
- Develops and conducts security education classes.
- Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
- Applies business-minded and risk-managed solutions to security issues and business challenges, and communicates observations and recommendations to leadership and enterprise business partners.
- Processes clearances and customer visits and provides support for classified meetings.
- Prepares, tracks, and manages DD Form 254s Contract Security Classification Specification.
Desired Skills
- Working knowledge of DISS, SIMS, and LM Corporate Security Tools.
- Experience creating, preparing, and delivering security-related briefings.
- Prior experience as an Facility Security Officer.
- Self-driven and results-oriented individual capable of effectively working multiple tasks concurrently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- The ability to articulate and present intelligent, decisive, and risk-managed security recommendations and decisions on a daily basis is essential.
- Experience with SIMS, DISS, DD Form 254s, and eQip.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with little to no direct supervision and be a team player.
- Knowledge and experience implementing the National Industrial Security Program Operation Manual (NISPOM) and other government security directives.
