Role Overview
The Program Security Officer 2 (PSO 2) provides expert guidance on security issues to government and program security teams across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer classification management, program, information systems, personnel, and physical security support
- Conduct briefings and indoctrinations
- Advise on security policies and procedures
- Develop security strategies
- Support security decision-making for leadership
Qualifications & Skills
- Requires a high-level security clearance (TS/SCI with Polygraph)
- 4+ years of relevant security experience for those holding a bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience through other educational backgrounds
- Demonstrates discretion in handling sensitive issues
- Expertise in classification control and risk management
- Familiarity with ICD 503, 705, DISS, and Scattered Castles
- Knowledge of program protection methodologies, intelligence directives, and security policies
Preferred Skills
- Experience with the NRO ISAP
- Industrial security
- NISPOM
- Security in acquisition lifecycles
Physical & Communication Requirements
- Ability to remain stationary and move within the office
- Ability to communicate effectively, including delivering presentations and exchanging information accurately
Travel
Domestic and OCONUS travel up to 25% may be involved.
